Railroad Commission of Texas Announces Fines


The Railroad Commission of Texas assessed nearly $900,000 in fines involving 230 enforcement dockets against operators and businesses at the March 26 Commissioners’ Conference in Austin


The enforcement proceedings are broken down as follows:

  • 26 dockets involved $366,763 for “Failure to Appear” orders (See Dockets Here);
  • Oil and Gas Pipeline Operators were assessed $50,960 for critical infrastructure and/or pipeline safety rule violations (See Full List Here);
  • Excavators and Operators were assessed $470,600 in fines for violation Damage Prevention rules (Full List Here).
